We are expecting a whole series of amendments to our labour legislation next month.  Our government is hell bent on destroying the job creation environment regardless of the evidence from the world economic forum.  The reality of the situation is that the competitiveness global index indicates that the labour mark efficiency in South Africa is 116th  out of 148 and is 144th  with regard to wages flexibility.  The cherry on the top is that labour employer relations is 148 (the worst in the world).

We have won the race to the bottom.  All these factors show why we are not growing jobs.  With all the will in the world we cannot change perception until the legislation creates an environment to enable the business community to employ more people.
